LIFT-Levántate is coordinating with Walk and Play for Wellness to bring the first ever Bay Area-wide celebration of World Diabetes Day to Marin County. There will be over two thousand people attending an afternoon of screenings, testings, music, celebrities, a walk/run around the beautiful Civic Center Lagoon, Yoga and Zumba classes and more, all culminating in the lighting up of the internationally recognized Frank Lloyd Wright Civic Center in Diabetes Blue.

The goals are to create awareness, detection and education; connect people to resources and programs and raise money for scholarships for low income/high risk children and families to diabetes programs around the Bay area and more.
