You Go, Girl! Women Pioneers in Diabetes [INFOGRAPHIC]

I’m excited to honor Women’s History Month by featuring some of the influential women who have impacted the field of diabetes research or have fought hard to raise awareness. While researching this post, I was humbled and inspired to see the many history-making accomplishments women have contributed in the fight against diabetes. So inspired, that I knew these achievements would span more than a single article.
The first result is this timeline, featuring some of the pioneering diabetes efforts that women have been involved in over the past 100 years. I hope you find it as informative as I did and see it as a testament to what strong women with a cause can accomplish.
Throughout the month of March, we’ll also be introducing you to three female certified diabetes educators (CDEs) who are all raising children of their own with diabetes, a mother-daughter team of A1C Champions, as well as some of the diabetes pioneers you’ll read about today.
Be sure to check back throughout the month of March for some truly inspirational stories.
Girl power!
Laura K.
