Almost Wordless Wednesday: Superstorm Sandy Hits Home

Today, I want to share some personal photos I took of Superstorm Sandy. While my immediate family weathered the storm with comparatively little damage, I have family, friends, and Sanofi US colleagues who did not fare as well. Today, I want to acknowledge them and everyone else continuing to recover as well as all of the first responders, volunteers and organizations supporting recovery efforts.
My best, Laura K.
The view of our neighbor’s backyard hours before high tide.
The post-Sandy view from our front porch of the uprooted trees and river debris.
The neighbors across the street lost a massive tree out back.
One of my favorite beach spots on the Jersey Shore. The stairs to get down no longer exist.

Wow, Laura. I didn’t realize you were also in that part of the country.
Scary stuff. I’m glad that you and you family are alright, and I too am sending support and well wishes to those not as fortunate.
Thanks for giving us a glimpse.

Thanks Scott! I was actually on the fence about posting this given so many families are still struggling to recover. But I found, personally, that the experience served as an important reminder to be thankful for all that we have and hoped the post might inspire that feeling in others as well. My best, Laura K
